Recipe: Perfect Falafel on Pitta


Falafel on Pitta. One of the most quintessential and beloved of Middle Eastern foods is the falafel sandwich, a warm pita bread stuffed with crispy hot falafel balls, surrounded by cool and crunchy diced tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions, and drenched with nutty tahini sauce.   6. Add the salad leaves and serve. I prefer to cut it into 4 to make it easier to hold..

Heat a non-stick tava (griddle) and place the pita pockets over it. Since one of my favorite restaurants, Village Garden closed, I have been coming to Pita Falafel more. The falafel is excellent and always fresh! I also really enjoy their chicken shawarma and samosas. I have been trying to eat all the different menu items at each visit and so far everything tastes very good and fresh.
